In partnership with Area9, the National Safety Council (NSC) has launched a new adaptive online version of the Supervisor’s Safety Development Program (SSDP) called SSDP Online.
The SSDP Online course uses adaptive learning technology to make the course personalized based on what learners know, don’t know and have trouble learning. This makes the course far more efficient than through a traditional eLearning approach, since learners with a lot of knowledge proceed faster through the course than users who are seeing the content for the first time.
“Adaptive learning has made it possible for NSC to deliver effective and efficient training in a very affordable way, and bring our existing content to life in an engaging way” says Felipe Reyes, Director of Business Development at NSC.
SSDP Online can save time in the repetition phase, by calculating “knowledge decay” for each individual learner. Similar to having a personal tutor, SSDP Online provides high-impact study sessions to ensure each user focuses on the concepts and objectives they need to learn.
